Juan Manuel Ortiz studied Film and TV at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and received a master degree from the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln. After have been directed several short films and TV documentaries, he has developed and written content for companies like 2Pilots, Komplizen Film, Stick Up Films, Dynamo, UFA, Novafilm and H&V Entertainment. He has been awarded grants by the Filmstiftung NRW and the Wim Wenders Foundation and was selected for the Séries Mania Writer’s Campus 2018. He writes in German, English and Spanish.
