Bio

Joona Kivirinta is a Finnish screenwriter based in Berlin and Helsinki. He has worked as a staff writer on two seasons of the multi-awarded crime drama Koukussa (Hooked), on the hospital show Syke (Nurses), and others. The Finnish Film Foundation SES and The Finnish Arts Council have supported his work in altogether nine original projects, so far resulting in three produced short films, and a feature film, the Finnish-German co-production Children of Light and Dark, in development.
