Dekel Nitzan is an Israeli screenwriter and director based in Berlin. A Dean’s List graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Steve Tisch School and a Berlinale Talents alum, his award-winning short films have screened internationally.

Dekel began his professional screenwriting career on KESHET 12 and has collaborated with multiple production companies, developing Film and TV projects. After graduating from Serial Eyes, Dekel was selected for the prestigious BIG LIGHT PRODUCTIONS apprenticeship. Working closely with acclaimed writer and producer Frank Spotnitz. Currently, two of the projects he is developing as co-creator and co-writer in Israel and Germany have received development funding. Besides his work as a screenwriter, Dekel teaches and oversees the screenwriting department at Catalyst – Institute for Creative Arts and Technology, serving as its coordinator.
